GRAND OPENING: Her Connection Hub

She Leads Me has hosted the first event in their new building, and the Hub coworking space is officially live! Business ladies of Whatcom County, be sure to check out the networking, collaboration and work-from-home alternatives that Heather is bringing to Bellingham. (Website | Instagram)

GRAND OPENING: Refresh Juice Co

Just next door to the Her Connection Hub, Refresh Juice Co celebrated their grand opening on the same day! Delivery is available via Viking Foods for all your juice and smoothie needs. (Website | Instagram)

GRAND OPENING: MW Soapworks

They opened a storefront on August 3 on Commercial St in Bellingham and celebrated with a grand opening towards the end of the month! Be sure to stop in for your natural skincare and soap products. (Website | Facebook | Instagram)

COMING SOON: Anytime Toffee (brick & mortar)

Congratulations to Anytime Toffee on your new Ferndale location! Tara announced the address in a recent Instagram post, so be sure to follow them on social media to get the scoop when the store opens officially! (Website | Instagram) 

CLOSINGS: 

Casa Que Pasa closed permanently on August 26 after almost 30 years. Read their closing message here.

Fat Pie Pizza closed on September 12. 

The Flatiron Woods branch closed early this September.

MOVING: Antler Baking Co

Antler Baking Company’s counter in the Flatiron space has to close too this month, but Veronica isn’t going anywhere! She’s currently selling at the Bellingham Farmers Market and doing custom order for Saturday pickups. We’ll keep you posted on any new locations once it’s announced, and be sure to follow Antler on Instagram for up-to-the-minute info!

STARTUP SPOTLIGHT: Sconegrown
It’s a plant-based cafe in Bellingham’s Granary Building! The CGNW/Building Bellingham crew visited it recently (you can see photos from our visit here) and we loved the tofu nuggets and the scones + cream (Tiffany was a bit skeptical about vegan cream on scones but quickly converted after she tasted the coconut whipped cream). Everything on the menu is vegan, and there are some great gluten-free options available!  (Website | Instagram)
