CGNW Recommends: The Bagelry
I first heard of the Bagelry one day a few years ago, when one of the owners of the company I worked at arrived at the office midmorning, and an admin emailed a company wide announcement - bagels and cream cheese in the break room! Across the office building, doors opened and closed, and feet began thumping down the carpeted stairs.
I had never had these specific bagels before, so when I walked into the room myself, I was greeted with the sight of enormous paper bags holding dozens of still-warm fresh bagels. Some with blueberries, some with a salt crust, some with garlic and onion. And then there were the spreads. We dug into plastic tubs of made-in-house strawberry, garlic dill, veggie, and plain cream cheese.
Always chewy and fresh, always sweet and savory spread options (with vegan choices as well!), bagels are a great choice for a quick lunch or a mid-day company surprise. I learned recently that they also deliver through Viking Food, and catering is available too - bagels with trays of meats, vegies, cheeses, and spreads, along with fruit platters. Perfect for a company lunch, or a bridal shower, or really any casual party.
The Bagelry’s deli features Boars Head Meats, and their milk, tea and basil are sourced right here in the PNW, from Whatcom County and Orcas Island.
What’s your favorite bagel combination?
