Family Resource Center | Live Bellingham Now Local Nonprofit Highlight

Deodorant, dish soap, laundry detergent. Toilet paper, diapers, and toothpaste. Pads, bedsheets and shampoo. All items that, for many of us, are things we use every single day. Items that, for some, are make or break items that may or may not make it on the grocery list depending on the decision a family has to make between food and bills. 

The Bellingham Family Resource Center is an extension of the Bellingham Public Schools; dedicated to helping families obtain these resources so they don't have to choose between groceries and other important bills. 

We're so grateful to have gotten to sit down with Kathe Koruga, a Family Liaison Multilingual Learner Advocate for the Bellingham Public Schools. Kathe shared with us what the impact of the FRC is, and how partnerships with groups in the community like the Friends of the FRC are so vital.
