Preparing to Sell Your Home
Thinking about selling your home but not sure what exactly is involved? Here are six major steps to get your home on the market.
Comparative Market Analysis
It’s a quantitative analysis of your home against others in the area - comparing square footage, bedroom and bathroom count, lot size, and such. We analyze against other homes that are on the market, homes that are pending sale, and homes that have recently closed. This gives us a range of what similar homes to yours are selling for.
Qualitative Value Analysis and Pre-Inspection
We walk through the property to get a qualitative sense of the condition of the home. We can point out repairs or deferred maintenance that should be brought up to date prior to listing your home. Our team also recommends hiring a qualified inspector to do a formal pre-inspection of the property, which can bring to light issues that would otherwise come up later, during the buyer inspection.
Listing Paperwork
Signing the listing paperwork puts our team to work for you! It also starts the clock ticking to finish up all the other details before getting your home on the market.
First Impressions
Pressure washing, cleaning up the yard, paint, decluttering and simple repairs all work together to show your home in its best light.
Photography & Videography
Our professional photographer will take aerial, exterior and interior photos to showcase your home, and we’ll bring in a videographer to create a professional walk-through of the home. Over half of buyers find their new home online, so these media collections are a powerful way to showcase your property.
