The Robert Morse House

Written by Leo Cohen

Over the course of the late 1800s and into the early 1900s, the small townships of Fairhaven, Bellingham, New Whatcom and Sehome blossomed and united into the thriving Bellingham community they are today. Our “Stories of Bellingham” series dives into the stories the grand homes and local landmarks built during that time period.
Today, our historical real estate landmark is the Robert Morse house, commonly known as the “Blue Mansion”. While the world of the 1890s seems so distant to our lives today, there are some striking parallels.
